Senvid pri Sticni in Slovenia plays host to the last rounds of the South West Zone EMX 85 & 65cc championships as well as the last round of the EMX Open series this weekend. Qualifying is done with qualifying races being run in the 85 and 65 categories and a timed practice for the EMX Open.
The 65s are the largest class in Slovenia and it was Filippo Mantovani who took victory. Interestingly, championship leader Joel Canadas does not appear to have finished the race, but his championship rival Cayenne Danion doesn’t appear to have made the trip to Slovenia at all.
Championship leader Quentin Prugnieres took a good step towards taking the 85cc title by winning qualifier. His nearest rivals Valerio Lata and Edgar Canet don’t appear to be racing so Prugnieres should pick up the title this weekend.
In the very small EMX Open field, Jan Pancar on a 250 set the fastest overall time ahead of the larger capacity machines. Klemen Gercar made it a Slovenian 1-2 at the top of the time sheets. Martin Michek qualifies third after already being crowned champion last weekend in Serbia.
