Shane McElrath and Jordan Smith will not be lining up in the 250 class at the fourth round of the AMA nationals taking place at High Point tomorrow.
From the teams statement put out on social media it looks like McElrath is taking the weekend off after a crash practicing earlier in the week. A wrist injury encountered in the supercross season has dogged Jordan Smith’s outdoor campaign so far and he has now opted to go for surgery.
Alongside rookie Derek Drake, Australian Wilson Todd will stick around for a weekend longer and continue his foray into the AMA Nationals, with Cameron McAdoo also joining the team as a fill in. It’s been a tough time for TLD with injuries, as their other two riders Sean Cantrell and Mitchell Falk are also on the sidelines with wrist and collarbone injuries respectively.
